Important Information
- All prices are per person, in Australian dollars and include the Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) calculated at the current rate of 10% (subject to change).
- A minimum two-night stay is required for Melbourne packages and all rooms are on a "run-of-house" basis unless otherwise stated.
- All reservations are subject to availability at the time of booking.
- On all bookings where more than one passenger is travelling, the person making the reservation on behalf of his/her travelling companions will be deemed to have accepted the booking conditions on behalf of all of his/her travelling companions.
- When entering names on this website, please ensure the spelling of names matches the traveller's passport, driver's license or photo identification.
Conditions of Sale & Entry
Purchase of tickets and your entry to and presence at the Event is subject to the Conditions of Sale , Conditions of Entry , the Australian Grands Prix Act 1994 (Vic), the Major Events (Crowd Management) Act 2003 (Vic) and all applicable regulations made under those Acts. Patrons are encouraged to read these conditions prior to purchase.
Postage Handling Fee
All Packages are subject to a Grand Prix Travel® postage and handling fee of $9.90 per booking including GST.
Documentation
Documentation including entry tickets (if applicable) will be posted in order of booking receipt from September 2012. For international clients, this documentation will be available for collection from your hotel upon check in. Information regarding the collection of documents for international clients will be distributed in September 2012.
Hotel Information
As a guide, check-in time at most hotels is 2:00pm and it is possible that your rooms will not be ready for occupancy prior to this time. If you feel it necessary, you may wish to ensure immediate availability of rooms upon arrival by paying an extra day's tariff and booking rooms for the night before you are due to arrive. If you take this precaution, please advise Grand Prix Travel® accordingly so that the hotel is aware that the rooms are pre-registered. Please also advise Grand Prix Travel® if you will arrive at the hotel after 6:00pm. This is vital to ensure that the accommodation establishment is prepared for the late arrival.
Terms Of Payment
Full payment is required within seven (7) days of booking. If payments are not received, reservations will be automatically re-allocated without notice.
Cancellations
Following full payment, cancellations must be received in writing. Entry tickets are non-refundable and the ticket component of the package price per person will be forfeited. Cancellations received on/before 13 September 2012 will also incur a cancellation fee equal to fifty percent (50%) of the accommodation and transfer components of the Package price per person. From 14 September 2012 forward, all cancellations (including no-shows) will incur a cancellation fee equal to one hundred per cent (100%) of the total package price per person. Amounts received may be set off to fulfil payment of these cancellation fees.
Methods Of Payment
All payments must be made in Australian Dollars, payment in any other currency will not be accepted. For bookings made from within Australia Grand Prix Travel® accepts payment by cheque, direct deposit or credit card. For bookings outside of Australia Grand Prix Travel® accepts credit card only.
If paying by direct deposit, it is important that you notify our office (FAX: +61 3 9867 4438 or email gpt@grandprix.com.au) when funds have been transferred so that they may be allocated to your booking. Please include your booking number with these details.
Credit Card: fees apply as follows: Visa/MasterCard 1.5% of the amount payable, American Express 3.42% of the amount payable, Diners Club 2.8% of the amount payable.
Transfer Information
Return coach transfers are included in each package, collecting from convenient city locations and dropping off at the Phillip Island Circuit on each nominated day of transfer.
General Information
Grand Prix Travel® (GPT) does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the act, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of any third party suppliers such as airlines, coach operators, shipping companies, hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with your package over which we have no control. We do not accept liability in contract or in tort for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by a failure to perform or delay in performing where the failure or delay is beyond our control. GPT reserves the right to cancel or change any accommodation package or service without notice at any time. In the event of cancellation or change, GPT will offer alternative arrangements if any are available or, if alternatives are not available or are reasonably acceptable to you, it will refund that part of any money paid which relates to the accommodation package or service that has been cancelled or changed. This clause does not exclude or limit the application of any statutory provision where to do so would contravene that statute or cause any part of this clause to be void. GPT excludes all implied conditions and warranties except any implied condition or warranty the exclusion of which would contravene any statutory provision or cause any part of this clause to be void. GPT's liability is limited, where it is liable, to refunding the price of the services or products. GPT gives notice that if passengers are attending an event that the event tickets will be subject to Conditions of Entry and Conditions of Sale.
