Booking Conditions

Please carefully read these conditions as they form the basis for the Grand Prix Travel Office accepting your booking.

General Information

  • All prices are nett in Australian dollars, inclusive of Australian Goods & Services Tax (GST) calculated at the current rate of 10% (subject to change)
  • Grand Prix Travel Office reserves the right to amend the payment and cancellation dates listed within this document, following confirmation of the date
  • The scheduled start time for the 2009 FORMULA 1 ™ ING Australian Grand Prix on Sunday is 5pm

Accommodation

  • All prices are per person, based on using existing bedding, additional charges apply for extra persons/beds
  • Hotel, studio and one-bedroom prices are based on up to two persons sharing, two-bedroom prices are based on three or four persons sharing, three-bedroom package prices are based on five or six persons sharing;
  • Supplements must be added for single room accommodation and extra nights;
  • Rates listed are room only. Meals are not included
  • A minimum three-night stay applies to all accommodation bookings, Friday Sunday nights inclusive
  • A maximum of five rooms are available for purchase online. Contact us for assistance if you would like to book more than five rooms
  • Accommodation descriptions and facilities have been provided by the individual properties and are subject to change without notice
  • Distances from accommodation to various locations have been provided as a guide only
  • Accommodation room photographs are representative only and actual rooms may vary from those shown
  • The rating of accommodation is based on various factors, which are generally accepted as indicative of a certain class, however, we do not guarantee the standard, class, or fitness for purpose of that accommodation or service

Accommodation Information: Check-in time at most hotels is 2:00pm, rooms may not be ready prior to this time for immediate occupancy upon arrival. It is possible to ensure immediate availability by paying the extra days tariff, booking rooms for the night before arrival. Check-out time at most hotels is 10:00am however, this alters amongst the various properties, and the hotels will make every effort to accommodate departure requests. Rooms still occupied after the designated checkout time may incur additional charges at the discretion of the individual hotel.

Tickets

  • GP Advantage ticket prices are quoted per ticket
  • A limit of one GP Advantage ticket per person can be booked in conjunction with an accommodation package. GPTO does not sell ticket only
  • GP Advantage benefits are available to grandstand tickets booked and paid for by 11 January. GP Advantage benefits are not available to accommodation only package bookings
  • 2009 FORMULA 1 ™ ING Australian Grand Prix tickets are subject to published Conditions of Sale and Entry, we recommend you read this information prior to purchasing your package. Copies are available on request from the Grand Prix Travel Office or online at www.grandprix.com.au

Postage & Handling

A postage and handling fee applies to all bookings. Within Australia, tickets can either be sent by registered post or held for collection on check in at your hotel. For bookings made from locations outside of Australia, all tickets will be held for collection on check in at your hotel.

Payments

Payment in full is required at the time of booking. For bookings within Australia, Grand Prix Travel Office accepts payment either by credit card or BPAY. For bookings outside of Australia, Grand Prix Travel Office accepts credit card only. A BPAY fee of AU$1.10 per booking applies. Credit card fees apply as follows: Visa and MasterCard 1.5%, American Express 3.42%, Diners Club 2.8% of the payment due.

Cancellations

All cancellations must be in writing. Deposit payments are non refundable. Following full payment and up to Wednesday 18 February 2009 all packages cancelled will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the accommodation package price per person (less initial deposit). The ticket component of the packages is 100% non-refundable. From Thursday 19 February 2009 forward all packages cancelled (including no shows) will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total package price per person. Travel insurance is available, please ask your GPTO consultant for more information.

Conditions Of Responsibility

Grand Prix Travel Office (GPTO) does not accept any liability of whatever nature for the act, omissions or default, whether negligent or otherwise, of any third party suppliers such as airlines, coach operators, shipping companies, hoteliers or other persons providing services in connection with your package over which we have no control. We do not accept liability in contract or in tort for any injury, damage, loss, delay, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by a failure to perform or delay in performing where the failure or delay is beyond our control. GPTO reserves the right to cancel or change any accommodation package or service without notice at any time. In the event of cancellation or change, GPTO will offer alternative arrangements if any are available or, if alternatives are not available or are reasonably acceptable to you, it will refund that part of any money paid which relates to the accommodation package or service that has been cancelled or changed. This clause does not exclude or limit the application of any statutory provision where to do so would contravene that statute or cause any part of this clause to be void. GPTO excludes all implied conditions and warranties except any implied condition or warranty the exclusion of which would contravene any statutory provision or cause any part of this clause to be void. GPTO's liability is limited, where it is liable, to refunding the price of the services or products. GPTO gives notice that if passengers are attending an event that the event tickets will be subject to Conditions of Sale and Entry.
